DAVID FELDMAN

For years a favorite among critics, other stand-ups, and those in the know, Feldman is finally breaking through with frequent appearances on "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." He will soon appear in his own half-hour special on Comedy Central to air later this year.

Feldman also appears frequently on Showtime, VH1, and until he got way too old MTV.

Feldman's acting credits include most recently an appearance on HBO's critically acclaimed series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" starring "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David.

As a comedy writer, Feldman has amassed a variety of credits. He was a writer for the popular ABC sitcom "Roseanne," as well as HBO's much-lauded "Dennis Miller Live!" and "Not Necessarily the News." He currently writes for HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher." Feldman has written for countless awards shows including the 2002 and 2003 Emmys.

Feldman has also won three prime time Emmy awards for comedy writing, as well as three prestigious Writer's Guild Awards and a Cable Ace Award. But David says the award he looks forward to most is the three million dollar settlement he gets from a jury after successfully bringing Roseanne to court for firing him with two small children to support.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Now available in your area for a limited time, David Feldman!

Well-known stand-up comic and writer David Feldman is bringing his brand of subversive and twisted comedy to your location for several days or until he attracts the attention of law enforcement. His talents have been seen in such diverse venues as the acclaimed HBO television show "Dennis Miller Live" and "Roseanne", as well as numerous appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Says Late Night booker Frank Smiley in a recent edition of The Hollywood Reporter, "I love David Feldman, there's simply no one out there doing what he does."

The Lake Tahoe Daily Tribune says, "He truly is one of the best monologists ever working today."

David Feldman started doing standup during the boom years of the eighties, when a skinny tie and a taste for pharmaceuticals could get you booked anywhere. Since then, he's acquired a reputation as a comedian's comedian, a true master of irony, and an easy lay. His act is a layering of elegant and subtle wordplay in the service of violated social norms, a puncturing of those ideas accepted without thought and beliefs held without understanding.

Along the way, Feldman has performed in comedy clubs and colleges all over the country and beyond, as well as appearing at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. He's earned three Emmy awards for Best Writing in a Comedy or Variety Series, and been recognzed by his peers with three Writers Guild awards. Says a tearful Feldman, "I'd trade it all for the ability to satisfy a woman."

In front of the camera, Feldman has appeared on almost every show that features stand-up comedy, spanning the range of "Make Me Laugh" to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". He appears regularly on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and recently was on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" starring "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David.

Says Feldman, "I think that you've got to get all the cockiness knocked out of you in order to be a great comic," he muses. "You have to be beaten down, totally humiliated, and degraded and still get back up on stage." That's where audiences come in to the picture.
